Goto Tendon is your newest Goto go to

March 26, 2018
Goto Tendon, Bayani St. corner Araneta Ave., Quezon City

To be honest, I'm not a fan of Goto. So I search it on the web what is Goto means. Accordingly, Goto is a Filipino dish (sorry, I can't link the source because it's not that reliable, so take this as a hearsay), the Filipino version of Chinese's Congee. But since I don't buy Goto (kakain lang ako pag libre pero hindi ako ang magbayad, hahaha, pero tikim lang dahil for sure hindi ko mauubos ang isang order), so that's it. Bye! LOL!

But hey, if you don't like Goto like me, you don't have to worry about it because they serve several Filipino comfort food to choose from.

If you wan't to eat in the middle of the night and you're around Araneta Avenue, Quezon City, then Goto Tendon is your place to be. Their specialty is Goto of course but they serve another Filipino comfort foods like Chicken Barbecue, Fried Chicken, Lechon Kawali, Liempo, Sisig Liempo, Beef Mami, Lomi and Silog Meals like Bangsilog (Dagupan), Lasilog (Lamayo from Coron, Palawan), Longsilog (Boracay, Aklan), Longsilog (Vigan, Ilocos), Tapsilog (US Beef) and Tosilog (Pampanga). And don't forget their desserts, Maiz Con Niyebe, Saba Con Niyebe and Ube Con Niyebe.

I love their Lechon Kawali. Pero dahil may nanglibre, kaya mas lalong sumarap. Salamat po sa sponsor. I wish alam kong libre para naka-order pa ako ng Maiz Con Niyebe at Saba Con Niyebe. Hahaha

Sheng Is In Town

November 24, 2017
Greenwich Pizza, SM Mall Of Asia

Sheng's is in town to attend a wedding. So we can't miss this opportunity to meet. This kinda once in a blue moon thing, even though we just met last month for Mariliz's wedding. Wait, what? Abay ulit si Sheng? Alam na this! Abay of the year goes to.. drum-roll please.. Jereme.. LOL! (nandamay pa). Sige na ibigay na natin kay Jereme kc nakailan din sya this year, si Sheng, pangalawa palang. Hahaha.

The Ambiance
I think, this is my first time here (sa branch na 'to). Medyo mainit ung lugar kc nasa labas kami tapos madami pang taong naglalakad (hahaha.. Mall nga eh, what do you expect?).

The Food
I (Sheng's pala) ordered 1 pc Chicken with Chocolate Rush. Favorite combo ko na to eh kya nothing to say much about it. Favorite nga diba kya madalas ng inuorder. Kaya madalas kc nasasarapan. Common sense. LOL!

Take Away's
Wala eh, hindi kami nag take-out. Wait, take-out ba to? Ba't ba kc may pa-ganito-ganito pa? Kaloka naman to. Gusto lang namin mag-picture-picture eh.

Picture-picture
Because we're Filipinos, we're taking pictures! Hahaha

September 22, 2017
Pedro 'N Coi, Robinsons Galleria

Yesterday, may bombang sumabog sa opisina (not literal, of course). Sobrang distracted ako buong araw. Hindi ko alam ung history (I was never fascinated with History, that's why).

Since nasa Robinsons Galleria nalang din kami, kumain nalang kami. Noong papasok palang ako sa mall, may nakasabayan akong magbabarkada at narinig ko silang nagkayayaang kumain, doon daw sila kakain sa may "Jeep". Masarap daw kasi.

WUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTT? Seriously? Discrimination? What if mag-isa lang pala ako kumain dito, hindi padin pala ako makakain dahil may discrimination pala sa mga single. Dahil Friday, ang pwede lang daw ay ung mga pagkaing good for two or ung 3-4 person. What duh!

So we asked suggestions nalang, the waitress suggested their best selling Sizzling Bulalowlowlow and we took it, as well as the guava drinks.

So back to chatting, laughing as if we're the only people in the area. Tapos may narinig kaming sumigaw, ang lakas kya napahinto kami then lahat ng waiters and waitresses sumagot din. Beym! Nakakagulat! Nakaka-culture shock.

Oh by the way, the waitress reminded us na 15-20 minutes daw ung food ma-serve. Fine with us, hindi kami masyadong gutom, kahit na tagalan nyo pa, ayos lang. Mag-usap muna kami. Tapos may dumating chips. While waiting, may pa-chips si mayor. Nice!

In fairness naman, masarap ung food. So parang 3 cups lahat nakain ko. Sarap naman kasi eh.

Why I like it here:
- Masarap ang food
- Friendly ang waiters/waitresses (naka-smile lagi)
- So Pinoy ambiance
- Simply ahhhhhh-mazing

Why I don't like it here:
- DISCRIMINATION EXIST! Bwesit! Bawal ang single pag weekend? Ano to? Eh di kyo na Shamcey and Lloyd ang may forever! Eh di waw! Congrats!
- Nakakagulat.. Nakaka-culture shock. If my foreigner kang kasama, WARNING is a must, baka mabato nila ung mag serve. LOL (exaggeration)

LOL!

Jollibee SM Sta Mesa

September 2, 2017

We want to eat but we can't decide where. We go up, go down. Up again, down again. Ung totoo, exercise? Tara na nga sa Jollibee.

Hobing's Bingsu (Cheese, Mango and Choco Brownies)

August 12, 2017
Hobing, Lucky Chinatown, Binondo, Manila

Ordered: Bingsu (Cheese, Mango and Choco Brownies)
Leny and Zarrah
First time experience
I've been craving for this for few weeks now because of the enticing post of the people I follow in Instagram. The nearest branch in my location is the one in Lucky Chinatown.

Ambiance
The place is small but because of fewer people in the place, it's just enough space for a dessert cafe. If you're going to compare it to DQ, it's difinitely bigger in most of their branches that I've been to.

You can feel the Korean setting simply because of the menu that are in written in Korean with English translation of course. Even their logo. Duh, it originates from Korea after all.

There are couple of hugable giant teddy bears but if you look closely, you won't hug them. Dirty looking.

Taste
Honesty, I expect it to be sweet. I mean, everything should be sweet, heller, it's a dessert. To my dismay, it's not. It's like, you're just eating a crushed ice with cheese or choco brownies on it. But to be fair, I like the mango. It is the only sweet among the three. Sweet with a little bit sour but it's okay. I like the way it is.

Verdict: 2.5 out of 5.0
Cheese - 2.0
Mango - 4.0
Choco Brownies - 1.5

It's not about the food anyway, it's about the bonding experience. We can't do this often. But when we do, it must be worth to remember.

First Bonding @ Kuya J

May 11, 2017
Kuya J, 3rd Level, Lucky Chinatown Mall Annex, Binondo, Manila

Our original plan was just to try Kuya J's famous Halo-halo. But since we're hungry already, so why not eat first? We ordered Danggit RiceDilis Salted Egg RiceSinigang Na Baboy and Humba. As expected, the foods were great except the 3 piece Danggit because I think it was not cook. I don't know. I'm no expert but my taste buds says so.

Anyways, we're here because of Halo-halo for PHP109.00 and all I can say is WOW! This is so far the best Halo-halo for me. I've never tried anything like this before. I highly recommend this to all who love Halo-halo but haven't tried this.

The best part of get-together like this was the laughtrip. To the point na ayaw mo ng tumawa dahil nauutot ka. Jahe. Definitely I would not forget this moment. Hayz
